Room6's Orakau exhibition has been a huge success. Through Mantle of the Expert we received a letter from a made up company called History in Focus. They sent us a commission asking us to create an exhibition using our expertise in this are. We made a map, a monument, qr codes, posters and more.  We found some videos and news clips about orakau battle. For all children we made colouring competition. Richard was the artist for this. Kids could also do a word find while they visited us and a slide show ran the whole time. We enjoyed sharing our learning with everybody.

Lego robotics at school

This term we have been doing Lego robotics with mrs Bevan. We have built a go cart a merry go round and a catapult. We have learnt how axles and gears work and what gears make sertain things go faster/slower. 

   Here is an example of a catapult that we have made.
